W. David Couch, M.D.

Dr. Couch completed his undergraduate work at the Virginia Military Institute and his medical education at the University of Texas Health Center. He was an intern at Bexar County Hospital in San Antonio Texas and his pathology residency training was completed at Baylor University Medical Center . Dr. Couch also served as a Captain in the United States Army Medical Corps.

Dr. Couch is co-owner and president of Tucson Pathology Associates. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical pathology and has served as past president of the Arizona Society of Pathologists. He has also served on numerous committees at St. Joseph’s Hospital, including a term as Chief of Staff. Dr. Couch is the current Medical Director for Sonora Quest Laboratories-Tucson and Carondelet St. Joseph’s Hospital Laboratory. He currently has staff appointments to El Dorado Hospital in addition to St. Joseph’s Hospital.

His society memberships include Fellow in the American College of Pathologists and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, the Arizona Society of Pathologists and the Pima County Medical Society. He has served on the Board of Trustees of The American Pathology Foundation and Carondelet Health Services.
