Osama Abdelatif, M.D.

Dr. Abdelatif completed his undergraduate and postgraduate work at Cairo University, Cairo Egypt. He was a staff physician at the Ghamra Army Hospital as well as in private practice in Cairo, Egypt. His pathology internship and residency were completed at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta Georgia. Dr. Abdelatif then completed a cytopathology fellowship at the prestigious M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Abdelatif is co-owner of Tucson Pathology Associates. He has served on numerous committees at St. Joseph’s Hospital and currently co-directs El Dorado Hospital Laboratory. He also is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of Arizona School of Medicine.

Dr. Abdelatif is board certified in Anatomic/Clinical pathology as well as Cytopathology. His society affiliations include the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, the College of American Pathologists, the International Academy of Pathology and the American Medical Association. In addition to being a member of the Pima County Medical Association, he was named Physician of the Year of that association in 2000.

Dr. Abdelatif is the founder and director of the Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy Clinic, located in St. Joseph’s Hospital.
